Approximating Underrepresented Minority (URM) Ph.D. Student Retention: A Quick-and-Dirty Tool. This tool helps institutions quickly compute approximate retention rates. While it doesn’t involve tracking cohorts of individual students and doesn’t give exact retention rates; it gives approximate annual student retention rates and trends that can inform decision making.
